Morningside Lutheran Preschool Staff

Morningside Lutheran Preschool has obtained a Level 4 in Iowa’s voluntary Quality Rating System (QRS). We are also involved in the Quality Preschool Program Standards (QPPS). The director holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education, an Early Childhood Endorsement and the National Administrator Credential, and maintains a current teaching license. Our staff is trained in CPR and First Aid, Basic Health Practices and Mandatory Reporting. All staff members meet or exceed the necessary requirements set forth by the Iowa Department of Human Services.

Morningside Lutheran Preschool follows the State of Iowa guidelines regarding tornado drills, fire drills, and reporting incidents of child abuse.

I have been the director/teacher of Morningside Lutheran Preschool since August, 2003. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Endorsement. Prior to me working at the preschool, I was an in-home daycare provider for 5 years and before that a substitute teacher.

I am married to Mark, who works for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, and we have 3 boys. All of our children attend the Sergeant Bluff-Luton schools.

I have a true passion for working with children and it is a joy for me to go to “work” every day. I also enjoy woodworking, spending time outside or in our pool during the summer and riding 4-wheelers with my family.
