Other Information

Absences

Children may not make up days for short-term absences. Specific arrangements may be considered for the child who missed three or more consecutive sessions due to an extended illness or communicable disease. Extended elective absences that are not related to illness but are made at the discretion of the parent will be treated as follows:

  • A child's place will not be held open unless payment in full is made for the time of absence. Payment must be made in accordance with tuition payment guidelines.
  • Vacancies for non-paid places will be filled from the waiting list.
  • There will be no reduction in tuition or refunds of tuition for extended elective absences.

Clothing

We urge that children be dressed in comfortable play clothes. Please carefully and clearly mark any clothes that can be removed. Children should not wear flip flops, open backed shoes, or shoes that will leave black marks on the gym floor. We also ask that children be dressed in clothing that they can zip, button, and snap on their own so that they can perform bathroom duties on their own and they can build self-confidence and independence.

Parental Participation

Parents/Guardians shall be afforded unlimited access to their children and to the provider caring for their children during the center's hours of operation or whenever their children are in the care of a provider, unless parental contact is prohibited by court order. Parents/Guardians may call, stop in, or arrange an appointment to discuss their child with the Morningside Lutheran Preschool's staff.

Transportation

Morningside Lutheran Preschool does not provide transportation to and from school. Upon request, you will be provided a class list so that you can make car pool arrangements.
