Morningside Lutheran Preschool |
|
Morningside Lutheran Preschool aims to provide a caring and Christian atmosphere to integrate the teachings and truth of Christ into our students' lives so that they may grow spiritually, socially, and academically.
We support the ideal that Christian-based education is best realized by teachers who create the broadest opportunities for students to learn and socialize in a Christian atmosphere and by teachers who motivate students to grow and develop spiritually, socially, and academically.
We accept students regardless of race, color, religion, sex, ethnicity, or handicap. |

Program |

Sessions include free play, story time, music, finger plays, large motor development in the gymnasium, small muscle crafts, science activities, and snack time. Concepts of colors, letters, shapes, and numbers are included, as well as field trips and special visitors.
The 3 and 4 year old classes focus on social aspects of learning while the 4 and 5 year old classes place more emphasis on academic and social activities |
|
Morningside Lutheran Preschool hopes to provide your child with a happy, social, and group play experience. It does not simulate Kindergarten, nor is it intended it should. That your child produces a good crayon drawing is unimportant; that he or she enjoys the process of crayon drawing and gains satisfaction from it is important. The experiences children receive in such a controlled environment are important in laying a firm foundation for future learning.
Parent and Guardian involvement in the preschooler's activities is an important part of this foundation, so Morningside Lutheran Preschool provides a monthly activity calendar to each parent. Frequent communication of your child's daily activities and progress is provided as well. |

Oversight Committee |
| Morningside Lutheran Preschool is a ministry of Morningside Lutheran Church. The preschool is governed by a volunteer committee of seven individuals, five of which are members of MLC and two of whom are parents of currently enrolled students (not required to be members of MLC) representing the M/W/F and T/TH classes. The committee meets monthly to conduct business related to the operations of the preschool.
